Janelle Monae first grabbed me with the video of this incredible song, and then we started performing it in our kids show - illuminating that sometimes you are high and sometimes you're low, but that life is just a tightrope. It's so funky, and has been so fun to put on the banjo. As we tend towards mashups with old time music, it fit beautifully with this tune from my long time friend Joe Thrift. His tune has proliferated in the community, and found a good home here in this funky and most excellent song.
