When I was in college, we were told that we could 'have it all' - a successful career, a family, all the trappings of an educated but hard working life. Especially the women, raised in a post-feminist society where our mothers worked hard to break the previous molds for women in the workplace, a struggle that is far from over. 15 years later, they sent a survey asking what was the most surprising development over the years since graduating, and to a one, the idea in this song was what people said.
